> s700i & Bluetooth - Work with a mac?

Hi there,
I had a quick look in the bluetooth and mac thread but couldn't see an answer to this. (shoot me if I missed it!)
Will a Sony s700i bluetooth ok with a mac? Will I be able to transfer files/use the Address book features? I guess I'd need to wait for Apple to add full support in the future, but for now I need to know if I can transfer pictures/mp3's without any problems. Also will the s700i bluetooth 'faster'? I only get 4-5k/sec with my T630 - which would make transferring 128mb of MP3's a pain in the bum.

Yup. It connects via BT but iSync will not see it. I have the same problem as you. I can send all of my pictures, files, etc... via BT without a hitch. You can send all of your contacts to the phone as well via the send function in the phonebook. The s700 will import them into the contacts and away you go. Hope this helps.

'could not find P900', but it is defo paired and seeing each other.
Weird thing is the S700 is more or less a K700, apart from some additions, I was expecting the mac to see the S700 as a K700. Ah well, need to wait til mac drops in the S700 support.

S700 will sync with iSync.
Just a small trick...
Open iSync and go to File > Add device.
If you have paired the K700 with the computer, S700 should appear on the list of available devices in iSync. S700 uses the same sync engine as K700, so there should not be a problem with it... apart from the icon not showing.
Transfer speeds are about 20 Kb/sek. Weird, because a Nokia 6230 sends at 40 Kb/sek.

Do you think that we would be here asking about syncing with iSync if it was as easy as you make it out to be. the s700 is not supported by Apple yet, so it will not mysteriously appear in iSync. I know because I have tried it. Your advice is moot. The previous poster makes more sense being that the new device has to be recognized by the Mac. The K700 only worked once it was added to the list by Apple.

unable to find ABDeviceCommandSets.plist anywhere on my iBook??
