> K700: what's not to like?

-1- After reading several threads about K700 it seems to me that some pepople actively dislike the phone. However it is hard to tell why. Would someone please be so kind to explain the problems/issues/dislikes, other than 'crap phone'?
-2- And is this battery-problem solved now? Do users find the battery life acceptable? If you have to charge every day, will that shorten the life of the battery?
-3- How easily does it get scratched?

My only problem with the
K700i is the battery life. I have to charge it every 2 days, 3 days at a push if I don't use it much. Battery life can be as little as 1 day though if used a lot. Apart from that, the phone is very good.
My phone lives in a body glove pouch so it's in very good condition still. I'd imagine it would scratch if you dropped it on something like concrete though !!

I think the fone is pretty class but it seems that the build quality of the fone isnt 2 gud. E.g the quickshare quicker comin off, the online quicker comin off, even the paint on the joystick comes off! As 4 the battery life, if u get the latest firmware and that shud solve that problem. But other than that i think it is a very gud fone. Cuz of all the features it has. This message was posted from a T610

original stickers.

What an intelligent answer - especially considering that the first poster specifically asked for details on what people dislike instead of just "crap phone"

Buildquality is excellent - the quickshare sticker is a rubber sticker that is glued on, pysical laws of nature influence the lifespan of such glue, it may dissolve under certain circumstances (like heat and moisture) making the sticker fall off (mine is still on after 3 months) - but its easily glued back on using superglue, apart from that the phone is rock solid.
Batterylife is 2-4 days depending on use - which is absolutely normal for a phone of its class and features. If you need more than that you need a different type of phone with less features.
Most bugs has been fixed in firmware R2L
It doesnt scratch easily at all - but no device can withstand being carried unprotected in a pocket together with keys and coins without getting a few scratches. Basically scratching is up to you and the way you handle your phone - Ive never had a single scratch on any of the many phones I owned. Neither has my 10 year old lively kid. Its all about keeping it in a suitable protective case of some sort.
Only drawbacks I would care to mention are the lack of external memorysupport (though this is not an issue with me personally) and the poor quality of camera in lowlight conditions (its excellent in good lightconditions though)

Mine is very scrached, coz I (and my friend, grrrr) droped it several times, but screen is still like new, without tiniest scrach. I droped it coz I always have 2 or 3 things in my hands at work.

i'd want the K700i to have a 1.3 MP camera on it, then it would be an all round top notch phone.
The battery life for me is fine, im not a heavy user.. but spend about 3 hours a day on the phone and play a few games for an hour, and text quite a lot. And i find i can charge it every 2 days. But i charge it every night normally to make sure its ok for the next day.
The latest firmware R2AA is fine for me, i dont have ANY of the problems that the other people do with it, and the R2AA firmware apparently has updated battery life, So BONUS!
One thing i would say is the handsfree that comes with it is not the best quality, and the phone doesnt have a standard jack for your own headphones to listen to MP3's so a BT headset wouldnt go a miss.
The Phone Quality is all round top notch, i havent had any problems with stickers falling off. But sometimes my joystick doesnt register the movements, and sometimes its too sensitive...I dno weather this is cos i dropped the phone on the keypad or what but its dodgey!
I'd Definitely say get this phone, its leaps and bounds ahead of the T630 and not far behind the s700i apart from its camera.
The screen isnt that easily scratched as ive put it in my pocket with keys and loose change and its only got a few minor scratches, as for the case, well its fine, no chips etc, and the battery cover has a thin brushed aluminium cover over it and thats the only thing thats scratched, a small 1 mm scratch accross the brush marks
But if i were you
GET ONE!!!
