I program the .kcf file, i make the jpeg file, i tar them to .hid and send them to the phone. Doesn't work
I send from the phone to the pc the desktop.hid. Untar, retar (store), send. Doesn't work
Again with the original .hid. I get its jpeg and add it to the hid making program by oneman. I type a few keys so it has some code. I save it and send it. Doesn't work
I get the original desktop.hid rename it to desktop_2.hid and send it back. Works! :
I'm really confused!
I suspect it's the tarring method. But oneman's .dll for tarring is totally different from the program (7-zip) i use to tar. Any recommendations/tips/hints/suggestions?

Maybe it is a problem with the tar file?

Exactly my problem. Practical way to solve it. I will try using one of the original files and replace the content. But i'll also get more archivers and test. Thanks for your help, much appreciated

I prefer to type the code by myself.. That's the program i used to test another method of tape archiving.

I found that all zipping programs do false TAR archiving.
I have read about a program that works named GNU tar but it's linux only ofcourse.. If I edit the files of an original .hid file and send it back it again doesn't work with "Operation Failed"
