What is the OUTBOX folder for?!?!
I've never noticed that any of the text messages go to outbox! It either goes to SENT ITEMS (if it is sent) or DRAFTS (if it couldn't be sent or doesn't have a recipient) or SAVED ITEMS and TEMPLATES (if you choose those options)!!! I don't know about E-mails or MMS....maybe it's designed for them (but I know that Email folder has its own outbox....)???

Well, they WON'T!!! Failed sms's go to Drafts folder, and E-mails go to outbox subfolder in e-mail folder!!!
It's maybe used for MMS, but I don't use MMS.......thanks anyway!!!

Yep it is only for mms. When you click send mms, phone saves message to outbox, and then it is traying to send it. Pozdrav!
