@liamski

ZONE_1 Firmware and EU1 Language/Customisation files will result in phone languages of English, French, Spanish and Portuguese.

All language packs have English in them, it all depends on what other languages you'd like as well.

Cheers,

Col.

Yes, it worked well, but here's my advice

1 - Get the COM serial port right.. most PCs have two, and if you've got a 'tower' style PC, the port you want is the uppermost one.

2 - Make sure you take the SIM card out before you do this and power off the phone

3 - Download the latest version of totalserver from their site, save it on your desktop and run it. I'd advise closing down all other non-essential programs BUT KEEP YOUR INTERNET CONNECTION OPEN.

4 - READ the instructions on the totalserver site, BUT, they are not 100% correct.. the on-screen instructions fill in the gaps.
For example, the site doesnt tell you to tap the 'ON' button after the firmware load, but the software does. Basically, you have to use your common sense

5 - Be patient.. it takes about 15-20mins in total with the t28 cable

The key thing is point 3..... get the right firmware, language and customisation files, then load them in the order the totalserver site suggests. They omit to tell you to tap the 'On' button though!

Good luck... it wasnt as hard as I thought it would be

@liamski
What did you do when the app says "Please restart the product"?

Erm, it actually didnt say that during my process.

Basically I followed the instrx on the totalserver site, loaded each file individually, pressed 'ON' when the software told me to, disconnected the phone once it had finished, put the SIM in and that was it

Have you mailed the totalserver guys with your issue? it sounds a bit worrying!

Yes i did. Not much help though...
Will try a different method that they advised me.

I wanted to put Portuguese language, but there are no *.S7L files on the server. So the guys told me to use the "Repair/Debrand" mode so i can choose a default language *.S7D.

I can't pass stage 1, the firmware flash.
I press on in the phone.
The app sends a "preload flash" or something , and then tells me to restart the product.
I disconnect the cable, turn the phone on, then off, connect the cable and tap on again.
The process continues but if fails 20 secs after.

Do you have the *.S7L files?
