everybody is so hyper about this 1 megapixel lark. in fact, the only phone that has a megapixel camera and isnt too expensive is the sharp Gx30, and unfortunately that is still quite pricy and worst of all on the satan network (vodafone).
Like for christmas, i am selling my p800, and instead of getting a whooppeeedydoo rip off phone like the s700i for 500 pounds, for the same price i will get a 5 MEGAPIXEL CANON AND A K700i PHONE!!!!
come on guys, get some sense into you! a k700i is a mint phone, plus a 5 MEGAPIXEL CANON DIGITAL CAMERA WITH 16X DIGITAL ZOOM AND 3 X OPTICAL ZOOM!
sony ericsson - your the best, but this time you are trying to milk us a little to much. we are not idiots.

But surely a 1.3mp S700 is easier to fit in your pocket than a K700i and 5 MEGAPIXEL CANON DIGITAL CAMERA WITH 16X DIGITAL ZOOM AND 3 X OPTICAL ZOOM!

i have to agree with vanquish, the s700 is way over priced, putting it in the same bracket as the p910 cant be a good thing. IMO. although, people are raving about it, i guess if you can afford it then you probably already have a 5mp digital camera.

ok, have you seen the new mini canons? then are about the s700i size, priced at 150 pounds, with 2 x optical zoom (s700i has NONE), and lcd screen, and 2 megapixels.

I personally only liked the S700 when it the first pics appeared on the net. Ever since, i am with you in that i'd much prefer to have a proper digital camera and phone.
Quite a lot of people don't wanna carry round 2 devices, and are wiling to pay more for the convenience of having one device. (i'm not ne of them, carrying mp3, camera and phone in my bag where ever i go
)
Devices that have more than one main feature are generally poorer than a set of individual items.
Different people have different requirements, so if someone wants to buy a S700, i'm not gonna have a go at them and say they're an idiot for paying over the odds for inferior stuff. It is a sexy bit of kit anyway

k700i for little snaps

camera quality on canon better
you can get tiny canons for about 150 as mentioned above which are better than s700i
sure, the canon cant make calls, but it can take amazing photos. and the only reason you should be buying the s700i is because its meant to be an amazing camera. which it isnt.
the p910i is worth its price, but not the s700i. dont you understand? maybe you go on a walk - are you really gonna take a 390 pound phone for pics? or a 150 pound little camera (and i mean smaller than s700i) that is
better ?
