i have a p900, is there anyway i can extract the sms messages from the phone? and save them on my pc.

I think "backup inspector" works for this, as I used it to rescue files for my P900..

why that much hussle? there's couple apps that do what you need...
sms manager.
message storager.
ps....the backupinspector wont do what you need.
just check my-symibian....and there you go!
