The i-mate JAM is *better* than a P910:
*cheaper, 25% smaller, lighter (?)
*higher resolution screen
*1.3Mp camera
*~2x faster processor (416Mhz)
*230% cheaper memory cards

Very nice unit. Kinda weird it's still a 65k display though.
One major difference.. Different OS. There's a reason why I have a high end PPC and a P910. There's also a bigger reason why I-Mates aren't as popular internationally as the Pxxx series. They are still PPCs. Consumers will continue to treat them as such. I don't know anyone that has a PPC that doesn't also have a cell phone. You'd think by now every PPC owner would rather have their mobile phones and PPC integrated. But integrated PPC/GSM phones sales seem to dictate that it's not a marriage most care about.

yer i refuse to even by another Microsoft OEM let alone another Microsfot based product, no doubt an i-mate security update will need to be released and then once installed rendering half the hardware and most the software un-useable............... just like SP2 did

I-mate Jam does seem smaller (slimmer) but the specs don't suggest that it is lighter. Also, have not seen any data on battery life and unlike the P910 the Jam does not have a keypad. Having said that, for most people using a BT headset the form factor may not be so important but battery life is important for any mobile/cell phone.
Edit: also does seem to available yet and can't see any reference to flash memory or removable battery
