I bought a second hand K700 mobile.
but to me the k700 has a shiiit battery , literally 2 days without using any serious calls/txts/video etc
Is there any truth in the stories the Nokia battery can be used and is better than thE SE battery ?
(phone was reported lost for insurance reasons, so I cant update firmware or illl be arrested)

HELP !!!!!!!

why not just charge the phone at night. It is a very simple thing to do.

Mine has been on for 3 days now as i have been at mates house, and it is still working, even though there is only 1 bar left.

It is possible to use a Nokia battery in a K700i. I couldnt tell you which one. There havent been many reports of people doing it yet so cant say how damaging it is. The likelyhood is the K700i wont be useable soon as in most places, when you report the phone stolen, the netwoks block the use of that phone on their networks.
Is it wise to use your name as your user id and then admit insurance fraud on the internet?

It would be impossible for a nokia 3.6v battery to do harm to your k7,because the k7 batt is also 3.7volts.it may well say charging alien battery,but that's all!not sure what capacity nokia batterys are,so couldn't comment on performance characteristics. This message was posted from a T68i

@mariah.carey - I've seen a thread somewhere that says - YES! A Nokia battery can be used as a replacement for the SE K700i model. But if I were you, I'd have that firware of yours upgraded, if you don't want to be caught (if it's a stoen one) upgrading it in a legit SE Service Center or what have you . . . then better upgrade it 'online' mate - as it is being offered by SE now for FREE, you just have to have that cradle (DSS 20-25) that's needed when upgrading mate . . . Sorry mate, its the other way around.

k700 - 3.6 V
Nokia - 3.7 V

So it could do some damage in the long run.

The battery which can be used is the Nokia BLD-3 used in 6610,3300...... i think 800mAH - not sure though.

There was a thread regarding this issue somewhere. Do a search.

@kllr_dude - The little amount of difference in the voltage in the battery will not harm the fone in any way mate! Even if it has a .5 differerence, say 3.2V against 3.7V . . . When it comes to amperes, that will only measure how long the battery can run, the batt's with 1000 mah on it are good ones, the average I guess are 600-800 mah's.

once it was posted that its possible to use Nokia's battery on this baby, I figured out a practical exam...

1) Connect NOKIA BLD 7 Type battery which comes on Nokia 7210i.
Fits perfect no problem on talktime but consumes more or less the same as the Orignal SE battery.
2) If you have claimed that the phone is lost no problem, just get yourself a DSS 20/25 Cable either from the net or someone who has a P 900/P 800 connect to the online update service and voila you're still out of JAIL..Lol...

Nokia's battery did make my precious a little heavier compared with the orignal battery supplied. I can't prove it as did not weigh it, maybe it was just a effect.

BTW can someone confirm the new firmware for the K 700i is R2AA or is my R2L001 still the latest..

Officially ie sony ericsson online update and EMMA too i think - R2L latest.
