Hi,
Firstly sorry if this has been posted B4. I had a look in the search field but could not see anything.
I just noticed on my P900 there is a dead cell near the bottom of the screen. I have only had thie phone for about 3 months, does anyone else have this, or should I phone up vodafone and get it fixed?.
Cheers in advance,
Gerry.

Yeah, those are dead pixel. See if you can find a theme to blend it in. I heard Sony Ericsson won't even take it back as a warranty issues unless you have "lots" of dead pixels.

I have one on my P910i (it's 2 weeks old). The dead pixel is in the top right corner near the apps tag. It's always red. i can live with it and it is slightly annoying so I think I'll be taking it to see if i can get a new handset. I don't fancy not having a phone while they replace the screen!

They won't normally replace for one pixel. I always buy from a shop that has a 14 day return policy like CPW. I refuse to accept dead pixels but if it happens at a later date not much you can do!

Hi,
Just thought I'd add that the "dead pixel" and "won't return under warranty" thing affects all LCD screens/devices. All the manufacturers basically say due to LCD technology limitations you need to have X amount of dead pixels before they'll change it.
The X amount changes per manufacturer and per local regulations, but sadly I have seen upto *8* needed, but 5 seems to be about the standard.
