> How to access hotmail with POP3 on P910
Bookmark topic
Just thought I'd share this with anyone who is interested:
I just bought a P910 on O2 in UK and I've been scavanging the web for a way to access my hotmail via POP3 on my P910 without going through a 3rd party software / web (i.e. msn mobile or mymail). It is possible.
When you create messaging accounts, do the norm and select POP3, then in incoming server type 'pop3hot.com'.
BTW, I am using O2 mobile web - don't know if that makes any difference.
It works for me. I hope it works for you.
Cheers,

try it on your desktop first, so you know it works. then use the same settings on your p900.
other than that, i have no experience with hotmail.

I've loaded this into my P910 on vodafone and it has connected ok and is currently sitting on a screen saying "Getting message header 1 of 44" and has been like that for 10 minutes.
The number of messages is correct so it appears to work but I get no further progress.
a whois search shows this is registered to a belgian company called Pop3Hot Software and there is a web site which I currently cannot access
www.pop3hot.com
I think I will now change my hotmail password, just in case

It hung on mine for a minute or two as well, but progressed to finish, and works for both incoming and outgoing mail perfectly, for me.
Wonder why it won't work for you?

Great to be of help to at least some of you...
The first time it downloads it takes a while coz you're downloading all the headings.
Because I am on o2 I've put on outgoing server 'smtp.o2.co.uk', if you're on a different network service provider, it will obviously be different. But the receiver will still receive it from your hotmail email account.
Hope this helps.
