Does the P900 have applications running in the background like other phones I have had? My battery at 0800 was 98% and now (1055) it's 49% and dropping by the second.
Any ideas? Bluetooth is off and I have only used it a little this morning. Can you clear the memory?
The handbook is as much use as a chocolate fireguard!

Is it a new fone and batt? How do charge it? Are all apps closed even in the background?

Hi Doug,
You need to download an application manager, such as Sman or switcher, which enables you to close applications when you are done using them. Otherwise, everything stays running in the background when you open it once, until you power off.
Download from

That's the question I'm asking? I am on the home screen with apparently nothing opened. The phone is one I bought from eBay and is not new, so I presume it has been charged properly in its previous life.
I am sure that on my last P900 you could see a list of "open" applications and terminate them as you wanted. I have been advised to get Sman but the file is a Zip, my work don't allow downloads and the way things are going, it won't last until 1200!!

Thanks Dave, we posted at the same time! I do want that file but can't get it. I can download sis files, any idea where I can get it in that format?

Nope, I normally send files downloaded at work to my home email address, then use my P900 to download them and then install from there. Does that make sense?

no problem doug, i know what it's like being behind nasty company firewalls!
babafett is that a good idea to always charge like that? I haven't been doing anything special charging my P910, not given it that much thought tbh!
