> Problems after firmware upgrade P910
Bookmark topic
Just upgraded firmware on my P910 to the latest, and now experiencing that NONE of my registered programs work anymore!
The last number in the IMEI has changed from -1 to -2 and seems to be what causes my problems...
Do I really have to go through the list and kindly ask each and every developer for new unlock codes?
Any thoughts of what I can do to ease this?
The last time I had problems regarding unlocking was when I first bought my P910 (Had an P900 that was stolen from me). The problem was to get the unlock codes... Some developers wouldn't give me new code at all - since their "policy" was to register pr. IMEI.
If I get the same problems this time I wonder if I should just leave the smartphone and stick with stupid phones instead...

Hi,
From what I gather, the latest version of the Symbian OS requires developers to read the IMEI number in a different way. So old software will get the IMEI number wrong and therefore your registration will fail.
It looks like you just have to wait for developers to update their software, or go asking for a new registration key.
I'll know more this evening. (will be looking at updating Soldier Ants to deal with this)
