I've heard that if you use mp4's in your phone it will take up less space but keep the same quality, Is this true for the K700i? And also where can you ind the software for ripping them?

You can use DBpowerAMP music converter to do the job -

You need to download the mp4 codec also to do the job. Use the FAAC codec. That's what i use. Get it here -

No mp4 cant be played on any device that can play mp3s.
K700 has the capability to play mp4 . Check the specs.
MP4 playback on mp3 devices depends on the device's supported audio formats.

There was a similar thread to this a few days ago.
You can use iTunes to rip CD's or convert MP3's into the MP4 (AAC) format. Best to go for straight from CD to MP4. You'll get much better results that way.

I have DB poweramp but cant seem to get MP4s less than 3mb and thats on quality 50. Is there a way to change to mono etc, it doesnt seem to be available in the compression settings?
