Welcome to Esato!
Have you remembered to turn your GPRS off? Is there a little icon on the desktop (front screen thing with time and date!

). I am sure there is nothing wrong with the phone, just have a check to see if you have turned off the internet. If more problems arise, ring Sony Ericsson up. There should be a list of call centres in your T610 box, and there are some in Italy i think!
Cheers

@gattobau
As far as I know there should be no charge for GPRS when not downloading data as the charge is worked out based on how much data is downloaded. The idea behind GPRS is that it is an 'always on' connection.

Is there a way to keep your GPRS connection on all the time? I thought it just cut off the connection after you quit the browser...

@iyiinsan
Technically GPRS is 'on' all of the time, it is just that using the browser, e-mail, etc 'activates' it. In other words, your mobile is permanently connected to the GPRS service, when in range, but you have to actually activate the function when you want to receive data.

You're right @scotsboyuk, the GPRS connection is always on, it just activates when you open your browser or send an e-mail or MMS, so you don't quit the connection, just deactivate the browser.

It should cost the same, unless you're using another wap profile, but remember that GPRS is charged by Kbs used, not connection time.
