There are only like 7 rings to choose from for the Text Message ringtone ...and im not a fan of any of them really. Is there any way to add your own to that list or is it locked.

this question is covered in the sticky thread Answers to the most common questions on Esato Forums (FAQ style) and unfortunately you can't add or change those

that's pucker not puker You changed the whole meaning.

@pucker sorry man, try searching as +sms +tone to include both words in the search. I've had a lot of problems with searching as well.

Most of my previous posts come from years ago when i got the P800...was one of the first in the US to get it.

I now JUST got a K700i...the search feature on this sight is not very good...i do try and do a search for most of my questions, but sometimes its just faster to just ask and get a reply from someone who just know...rather than searching for 45min through the fourms to try and find the answer.

After doing the search for K700i+sms+tone i did come up with 1 post that answered the question...however again...when i was searching i didnt use the + (mainly cus i didnt think i had to, i figured the search understood how to look for more than 1 word at a time without a +), and i used Ringtone as opposed to Ring tone...which again...makes a difference.

I think some people think people post questions to just piss other people off...point and case:

"Dont you search before creating a new post ?
No you cant add new message ringtones !!
There are so many threads regd this issue. Next time SEARCH ! "

Again...all i found in my 3rd search on the sight, after getting advice on how and what to search for, this time using the "+" was 1 (ONE) post from 3 months ago answering this question. When i did the Search "K700i+Ringtone+MMS" i came up with nothing relating to K700i phones and Text Messaging ringtones...as i did with "K700i+MMS+Ringtone".

Let me also add that the "K700i+text+ringtone" search doesnt even bring up THIS post. And All those words are clearly in my title...it SHOULD be 1st on the list

I take back that apology.

I said to search +sms +tone not sms+tone .

If you had read the instructions at the bottom of the search page, you wouldnt have this problem.

Search +k700i +Ringtone +Message and you'll see your thread

Yeah, sometimes it is really faster to post a new question than using the search feature.

I don't understand why some people are always pissed off when a question is asked that maybe has been answered before. If somebody is getting bored by reading the same questions, why do they read the whole post then ? Browsing through the titles helps very much to find out if a post is interesting enough to click it open...

In my opinion this forum is made to ask questions, no matter how many times they have been asked before. Sometimes the answers also may change from time to time, for example when SE does a new press release concerning the subject of the question.
