I've never bought anything from Ebay before, so I don't know what's going on, i went there and search for P910i, those people selling (start bid) from $490 US, some are $700 US. Donno how Ebay work, but isn't that price kinda low? I went to some HK website, the phone is selling for $5880 HKD atm, is it suppose to be that cheap in Ebay? I need to know this before i ask my dad to buy me P910i at HK.

Only trust in well known sellers, and beware of all that liers, a very low price is a bad signal, so just take it easay and you'll find a good deal.

That's the big risk, and that's why you should only buy from trust sellers.

Unless you see "buy it now" the price you see represents an auction. I guarantee the auction will not end at $490.

The starting price on items may be as low as 1 dollar because the market will ensure that the auction closes at a reasonable price which probably won't be signifigantly cheaper than retail (if at all).

And yes, eBay does have lots of scammers. eBay is solely a facilitator of transactions among individuals. Check a users feedback before bidding on anything.

Also be careful of people who say "Dont email me at my EBay email...its full. Email me at this one: xxx@scamers.com"

Thats a #1 scam signal.

Also read the user feedback. Look at what they have been selling. They may have +100 with 0 negative...but if they have been selling crap for $1-$5 to build up there Feedback raiting and all of a sudden are selling a $500 item...not usually a good sign.

Yes, there are some scams on ebay, but for the most part they are fairly genuine. Places like "www.stuff2buy.com" do exactly what they say, but you have to be carefull of what they DO say. Read the entire auction before bidding tho, make sure it isnt a "link"

And remember, an international bargain might not be quite such a good deal after you've paid 10% Duty and 17.5% VAT! This message was posted from a T68i
