It keeps asking me to check my mailbox or password.....but there the same as in outlook....anyone got any ideas?

Are your trying to retreive O2 email using the POP3 settings in the phone?

or

Retrieve email from another ISP while dialling up via O2?

I am dialing up with o2 (genie) wap (which worked fine with my blueyonder pop3) and i am trying to check pop3 o3 email.

ok, i have a similiar setup(Genie/O2).

althought i dont check my O2 mail via the phones email settings, i do have it set to my ISP and when doing so i have to type in the IP address for the Inc.server & Outgoing server instead of the pop3 server name.

goto Dos window and type 'ping pop3.theO2servername.co.uk'

this will return a numeriacl value similiar to '123.321.123.321' etc...use this for the inc. server and do the same for outgoing.

this shouldnt really affect you when trying to retrieve O2 email but worth checking just in case....even though you successfully setup email using another ISP settings.

only thing i can think of bar that is to delete the account and start over...could be a small typo error.

i have tried the ping thing ans it says opation timed out, any ideas?
