A company called Gabrielor is pitching a rounded keypad design at CTIA to various equipment manufacturers, ostensibly because it's... more efficient? I don't know, really. The idea is that you can hit every key with a single finger, but you can already do that with T9 keypads, and on other thumboards,using both thumbs at a time is an asset, not a hindrance.But whatever they've got a fancy new interface.

I don't think that it would work. I mean, even the number keys are whacked out of place. Where's the standard QWERTY arrangement?
