Hello

I just want to say that ...
In my humble oppinion the P9x0 screen saver + power saver are the dumbest things in this phone !!!

[ 1 ]
Why doesn't the screen saver display an icon in the corner saying there is some unanswered event waiting? Phone call, Message, Alarm .... plain stupid!!
I know the led should give you a clue, but in practice it's too difficult to track the flashing interval.

[ 2 ]
Why does the password keyboard lock has to be connected with the screen saver?
I should be able to password lock my phone ANYTIME!
It's my personal data on the phone, I don't want to wait a couple minutes for the screen saver to lock the phone.

[ 3 ]
The power saver is usefull, specially if you use the "always on" backlight as I do (power saver turns it off).
Now, if the power saver can display a nice clock, why doesn't it also display a notification there is some unanswered event waiting?

[ 4 ]
Why the heck should I need to password unlock the phone before answering an alarm? I mean, it should be an exception!!
I could answer but it would remain password locked after that.
That's how the Palm does with alarms!

[ 5 ]
Why do I need to insert 4 numbers to create a password lock for the phone? 4 is too much if you are on the move!
Also everybody tries to insert 4 numbers to hack into a phone, so if you inserted less (i.e. 3), you are in fact protecting yourself!
...

You know, I'm reaching to the conclusion that the people at SE that created the software for this phone DO NOT USE the phone they create. Maybe they use Nokia...

i totally agree with you mate.
and also there should be better internal screen savers like clocks and slide show etc...
SE has a problem with screensavers. even the old T series' screensavers make users crazy... for example; the BIG CLOCK which u cant disable or change or personalize...

@_LAU_,

as much as i would like to agree with what you said, in my opinion there is not a single phone in the market that has all the would-be-nice features that i want. so you just have to balance the HAVEs and DON'T HAVEs with each phone. i do believe the P900 already have a lot of good features that most phones lack out there.

one feature i really want is for the power save clock to be visible at night without having to touch any key to see the time. for instance, , have the ability to set a time from 10pm-7am to display the clock with white light instead of the dim white during the day.

send a request to SE and perhaps they may implement your requests on the next firmware release.

Yes, but since you are using a smart phone (notice the word Smart) you should be able to customize it.

After turning off the SE screen saver, one could run an application in the background that would work like a screen saver.
I think it would not be that difficult to create a decent screen saver application that pop up after some time. Even HD 2004 can popup into the front after some time!

And yes, slideshow would be nice too

BTW, can someone dop me some links for developer's forums?
