my friend wanted to know how to hook his xbox up to the computer. he does not have xbox live, but he told me that people say u can run it through your computr, because he has some cheat things on there. on AOL you have to sign online to do this. he wanted to know how he would do this, if he doesnt want to sign online to do this. this may sound messed up, but thats all i got from him. if noone gets me... ill tlak to him and post again later.

Can you explain a bit more as your whole post is confusing.

If he wants to play multiplayer whitout Live then: www.xbconnect.com, if it's connecting the xbox to the computer by ftp then he needs a chip like Xecuter ( which voids the warranty ), the best site for the xbox mods and hacks is www.xbox-scene.com

okay, basically he wants to hook up his xbox to his computer using AOL, and he wants to know how to do this. If he uses a router, he wants to know if it will still work. He wants to run the program on his computer, and let his xbox get online, but how woul du hook that up without xbox live? is that more clear?

The only way to connect the xbox to the pc is having a chip inside, connect the two with a cross-over cable (RJ45) and using a ftp program on the computer to access the xbox harddrives ( 5 partitions on one HDD ).

Using the internet to connect the console to the pc is impossible. Go to xbox scene and read the tutorials.

My xbox has an Xecuter chip with Evox installed to replace the default microsoft/xbox dashboard, that way I can connect my console to my pc and install lot's of things on it.

So basically you want to setup your xbox and pc Like This (setup b )using the modem and router of the pc to allow the xbox to play games online without using xbox live

If you read and follow This Tutorial it will help you set it up
