I have just got a new SE P910i and was wondering if anyone knows the best way of exporting SMS messages from the P800 and then importing them to the P910? I have several hundred SMS messages I would like to keep and was hoping there was a reliable way of doing this?
Possibilities I've heard:

* Using SMan to grab SMS message files from hidden folder structure and then re-create on P910. - Are the phone formats compatible and what exactly would I copy?
* Using Oxygen Phone manager. However I don't have Bluetooth/IRDA on my PC and their readme says there is a problem with using the software with the SE docking station.
* Using PC Suite Backup/Restore to "Backup" from the P800 and then use "Import" to the P910. This seems risky as I could overwrite other files and cause the P910 to hang?
* Use some other 3rd party software, possibly via Outlook, to manage the transfer. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance for any help!

I think the most efficient route to go would be to simply store those SMSes on your PC. That's unless you need to reply to all those SMSes from your phone. I'm guessing you simply want to retain them and archive them some how. Use an SMS program manager like DesktopMessage to download them to your pc. You'll be able to view all those msgs at your leisure with risking damaging any files in the process.
