Motorola is offering four new Bluetooth headsets, the HS850 and HS805 feature improved battery life and echo cancellation, the HS830 can be worn as a necklace and the HF800 wireless speaker. Motorola also released a bunch of USB adapters to add Bluetooth support to older mobiles without it, all devices are expected to ship Q4 of 2004.

Nice! The one which can be worn as a 'necklace' is a breakthrough I guess . . . As the very common ear-hook type is very annoying at times, as if there's a bee following you around . . .

Taken from mobileburn.

Quote:The new HS850 is the replacement for the popular HS810 model. The upgrade includes a nice black body and Bluetooth v1.2 support, in addition to even better battery life and a new echo cancellation system. Motorola also claims improved volume levels and audio clarity, though we never found either of those to be a problem with the original HS810.

Quote:Motorola claims that the HS805 can provide a whopping 22 hours of talk time from a single AAA battery cell. That could be quite useful for the traveller that doesn't want to bring an extra charger along on a trip. Like the HS850 that was announced at the same time, the HS805 also makes use of the new v1.2 Bluetooth specification.

. . . 22 hours of talktime ! Well, that is just almost a day of continuous use! Good . . . I just hope that the batt is a rechargeable one

Motorola says, new BT headsets are BT 1.2 complaint. What it means to be 1.2 instead of 1.1? What are the advantages?
