I have very good vision, but I cannot believe that anyone out there can use the k700i with the light setting in off mode!
Or am I missing something and the k700i has a setting for the level of brightness for normal display?
Also, is there setting for the level of brightness for the backlight?

It would be easier to post all your questions in one thread, its easier to follow it for u and all members aswell.

I think it's better this way; one topic per thread. This way people searching can find the right topics and so the thread does not become one huge mess.
But if enough people feel the way you do, then in the future I will try and combine as many questions/comments as possible on one thread.

Keep it cool dude

i guess its the property of k700 screen that even if the backlight is off the screen reflects any direct source of light hence making the screen contents visible. allthough they are not that visible but still i guess u can able to read them without backlight on.

I believe u should only post multiple questions in a thread if they are on the same or very similar topic.
Anyway, u can see the screen without the light on in the daytime but obviously not in the dark so I see no real point to turning it off, u'd have to keep turning it back on!

Ok, I guess as long as the screen is nice and readable, I shouldn't be so picky about what setting the light is on/auto/powersaver. As long as it's not "off."
It just scared the hell out of me when I chose the "off" setting at night, and couldn't see a !@#damn thing on the phone.

The light off feature is only really useful if you're trying to squeeze every last hour of battery life out of your phone. Most phones will not even give you the option to turn off the backlighting - so it's nice that sony do.

You should also be aware that if u select 'auto' u can see the clock screensaver. If u select powersave the screen goes blank
