I have the SE K700i and have recorded some 'movie' images which i have then sent to my PC via IR.
I want to send the clips to people to watch but i don't think that most people will be able to play the 3GPP format they come in.
Is there a piece of software out there (preferably free!) that will convert the files to something that will play on a Windows Media Player?
Thanks

No need to convert, just download Apple's QuickTime. That plays 3gpp files straight out of the phone.

Yes, or Realplayer. *prefer Quicktime though*

Thanks for the replies, but...
For instance, my wife works in an office where the IT dept control the PC she works on. It has the standard Windows player and they are stuck with that.

Makes me wonder why some people bother to make posts with no helpful information whatsoever, and just complain about other peoples help.

It makes sense to offer advice on how to play the files without converting. It saves time and effort. Also converting one video format to another reduces the quality considerably. 3GPP files from the K700 aren't exactly top quality in teh first place. Converting to a Windows Media Player format will only make the quality far worse.

Once again, Apple's QuickTime can be used to create 3gp files too.

how are we all .. good to see that all customers have read the question in question .. most ppl dont have real player and quick time installed on their computer's .. or especially ppl who use community computer's .. Does anyone know how to convert '3gpp Files" to "windows media player", so that others can view them if posted etc, and also video editing programs cannot support these files so they need to be in media file format .. Thanks all suggestions apprecitated .. the web has not yet given any relevant answers also ..

here we go... 3 option for u:
a. Change of wife
b. Suggest ur wife to change her job
c. Use Quickttime to convert 3gpp-to-avi (but not free) and Windows movie maker to convert avi-to-wmv (free).
