mmm you are onto something but.

I like having ability to be contacted anytime, or if i don't wish to be contacted I can choose to ignore

I like being able to make quick, on the spot revisions to plans and meetings and send text messages to update the relavant people.

I also LOVE electronic widgetry. Pocket games/MP3's/MP4's/Digital photography/Sound recording/etc. All of that in one neat package - What man could refuse whoring himself to the latest phones when they give us stuff like that?

I like this drug. It does support and help me if it is, just as my friends, who i met with the help of my fone. This message was posted from a T68i

Mobile phones are a big part of peoples lifestyles now.

Imagine (or remember) 10/20 years ago - To arrange a meet up with someone you would have to either phone them at home when you knew they'd be in (that might take a day or two) just to arrange a time. Then you would be committed to that place and time. Now you can phone someone, get a response straight away or in a few hours to arrange a meeting and text them if you're going to be late or need directions.

The flexibilty and freedom of not having to be somewhere at a certain time is one of the side effects I am addicted to. I like to do things in my own time.
