Totalserver now has the older R2L software available again. If I want to brand my K700i back to Orange, it looks like I have to choose the zone 1 firmware and the Orange_GENERIC language file. But what do I choose as the customisation file? There isn't a corresponding .K7C available.

Does this mean that you only use zone 1 .K7S and the Orange Generic .K7L?

Thanks...

i tried to downgrade to R2L but it didn't work as it still read the R2A CDA so had to reflash R2A back

uhm... i think to brand it you will need the original Orange customization file and also some changes in original flash file that Orange has made... So I don't think you'll be able to do it... maybe with *.K7C file that will have all the Orange customization, but I don't know if you can find such... I know it was always problem even with older models...

Yes, but why would you won't to brand it again?

I am baffled why you would want to rebrand the phone but never mind! You will need to run the decustomise firmware first to wipe your phone of any firmware then apply the evil orange customise firmware!

Definately would not recommend just trying to rebrand it without running the decustomise first, some bad things have happened to K700's that way!

Just curious as to how you'd go about it - I like to know how these things work

They've gone again

However, if you look in the thread about O2 online update there is a URL for nex0r's web site where you can download them.

Download them from my web site, they are organised a little more clearly.
