> hbh-15 with Bluetooth Enabled Laptop

Just want to know whether it is possible to use the HBH-15 headset (or any other Bluetooth headset) as a headphone/microphone for a PC/Laptop with Blueooth capability?? It'd be cool to use it for internet chat.
Anyone know or tried?

You can do it - but the bluetooth module in the notebook MUST support the audio profile. For example my 3Com USB dongle does support it, but my DTL-1 PCMCIA doesn't ...

If your BT device supports it, you can use the audio profile (if your drivers support it) for almost anything you like - e.g. listening to mp3, etc...
I do not know how to check it out in Windows. In Linux you just type "btctl" (if you have affix installed) and get this info and more. Generally
CSR chips are ok (e.g. iPaq, Sony Picturebook, IBM A30, ...) as far as I know ...

ANyone else have any ideas as to how to connect it with a Windows Laptop (a Toshiba Satelite 5100-201)?
I mainly wanna use it for listening to MP3s and maybe chat or something like that.

I wanted to use a BT-Headset for speech-recognition software. I've tried it out with a Anycom USB-100 Bluetooth dongle plugged into a toshiba satellite 5100-201 and a Anycom AHS-10 Bluetooth headset (The integrated BT device of the laptop does not support audio). Audio from laptop to BT-headset works fine, I can hear internet radio, but in the other direction from BT-mic to laptop the quality is still very bad. I contacted anycom support an they told me that there is a problem with the sampling rate and the software (Mic volume cannot be adjusted...). They will have an improved software in summer.

so correct me if i'm wrong in saying this, but as long as the BT adapter on your computer supports the audio profile, the BT headset will work without any additional software? Or would i still need special drivers for it?
