I know that in the whitepaper for the P900 the maximum memory the phone will accept is 128mb memory stick duo (i know you can get more if the phone has the upgrade) because at the time of publishing the whitepaper 128 was the biggest you could get and as far as i know it still is (if you go over 128 it then becomes a PRO)

On the P910 the whitepaper says upto 1gb memory stick PRO duo i presume at the time of publishing they knew a 1 gig was around the corner so that was the maximum

If a 2gb PRO becomes available (and it the future 3 or 4 ) will the P910 be able to access and read the bigger Pro sticks

The memory stick PRO and PRO duo standard describes a theoretical maximum capacity of 32gb and there is nothing I have read on www.memorystick.org or www.memorystick.com that suggests any limitation within that range

it has always surprised me with the P910 announcement and whitepaper why they mention 1gb except, as you say, due to what is known to be available or coming soon

Unless they have nobbled the P910 firmware with a specific limitation I would expect it to take the 2gb and any others that follow

It's imposible. But there is totaly 256mb size non pro cards in the market and they are 128x2. So u have to take out the MS and u have to choose other bank to use.

I think masseur stated that you don't have to take it out at all. You just have to open the cover and flip the switch at the end to the other side, which does make it alot easier, but he also stated that he didnt know of any memory duo to support this hardware, only memory stick and I think all of the people that have been active on this forum for a longer time are VERY fed up by this topic, so just use search in the future (@sarathkoka).

I honestly don't think a lot of plp, including sales reps, really know the difference between memory stick, memory stick pro, memory stick duo, and memory stick duo pro. I think it's because the general words 'memory stick' is frequently used to group all these categories into one which eventually allows their individual uniqueness to get lost in translation. So don't assume that the average person can discern the individual categories when questioned about this particular flash memory format.
