i tried to connect my k500 via an 3rd party usb kabel...
now my windows xp ask my for a software for the k500 series...
anyone knows where to get this software???

would be really nice to get some help with this...

yes...for the k500 there is no usb driver...
i tried the k700 one for the dcu 11 kabel, but it donīt worked out...

Sorry cant imagine why, may be someone else can help you. I got ir modem driver from that site and it worked fine. Try it again or try with some other nation. This message was posted from a K500

If you bought an unofficial SE cable then the driver you are looking for is on my K700 download page:

http://www.dlfiles.myby.co.uk/k700i/k700i.html

The driver works with all third party cables and is compatible with nearly all SE phones (I have tested T68i, T610, T630, and K700) as it is a generic driver. Hope this helps.

i tried to install but it doesnīt works...
i now installed the modem script when win xp asked me for the k500 series driver and it works....
but the file manager still canīt connect the phone...

any suggestions???

you do not need drivers for the phone. you DO need drivers for the cable though, and these are cable specific. the USB cables are just serial to USB converters. the driver is specific to the converter, the phone has just a plain serial interface, the software accesses it as a plain serial modem (except that there are quite a lot of extra AT commands supported :))
