> what is the BEST Shop to buy P910 in the Philippines?
Bookmark topic
Good Day!
I'm new here at Esato, though I've come across the site for sometime now.
Currently I'm using T68i, and I'm really interested in buying P910 but I'm not sure at what shop to buy it from.
I already thought of buying it at an SE Shop in SM North, but after reading posts Re: Warranty issue & P910 issue at SESS in Glorietta 3 (posted by jplacson on Oct 17, 2004 under the topic: Sony Ericsson to open Concept Shops (PH), page 3), it made me think twice. Buying an SE phone from an authorized dealer (not SE shop), and yet SE won't recognize it, I think it is absurd.
Any suggestions where I can buy the phone; SE Shop, Semicon, MemoExpress? Where warranty and services won't be an issue.
Thank you!

as long as the phone is a 'semicon' or 'wintelcom' unit, warranty will not be a problem and should be accepted by authorized service centers.
ask the store where you buy it about whose warranty it carries because semicon and wintelcom distribute their phones thru other stores too, like mobile one, hello telecom, etc.

Thank you for your fast reply. Hope you don't mind answering some more q's.
1. is there a way of knowing if the unit is from "semicon" or "wintelcom"?
2. is there any difference between "semicon" and "wintelcom" units?
3. you did not mention, SE Shops... who carries their warranty?
4. at what shop do recommend me buying, or might as well ask you directly, where do you buy your phones?.... if you don't mind.
sorry for asking, this is the first time i wil be purchasing a phone from a shop, usually get my phones from network promos and the US.

1. remove the battery cover and you will find either a semicon or wintelcom sticker
2. only difference is price. wintelcom is usually cheaper than semicon if you buy directly from their stores. but for sub-dealers, its really up to the sub how he wants to price it.
3. never bought from an SE shop
4. i've bought from semicon, hello telecom, and mobile one. usually depends on who has what i want in stock at the time. if you plan to charge it on your credit card, mobile one does not have a surcharge for card payments.
good luck!

contact me
0918-9915189
im an official semicon, wintelcom, brightpoint retailer..
i have P910i available...
ask around- pinoy chit chat for feedback
btw.. the SE shop in glorietta 3 is OWNED and operated by MEMO EXPRESS (actually nokia, se, motorala and siemens shops are owned by memo express)
service is handled by SESS (same as the one from hererra before); so if u dont like SESS, there's always Smartnet and Semicon to handle your needs
re jplacson's post.. there might be just a misunderstanding

@619 - Having read your last post mate, you mean to say that Memo Express is bigger than Semicon (company), considering the other stores it carries (perhaps under the Memo Express affiliation as well)

Thanks!
