It's with Vodafone, and the deal is £50 a month (which is what I spend anyway) for 500 Anytime minutes & free weekend calls, as well as 1000 text messages, and I get the phone for free!!
The downside is that it's an 18-month contract, but all that means is i'll just need to wait an extra 6 months before thinking of upgrading again, which doesn't seem like much of a problem to me.

Well, that was quite a letdown. I just checked my e-mail, and i've received one from Vodafone telling me that my order has been cancelled, because I failed a bloody credit assessment!
I don't get it really, i've never missed a payment from my contract's with T-Mobile and O2, or even my Visa. I was getting so excited as well

Do what my dad did, threaten to cancel your contract, then theyll change thier tune.He had a call from a vodafone rep saying he had the authority to give my dad any phone he wanted for free,i told him to try his luck and ask for a vertu and they said they would!

. but the amount he would save by switched to the local network was more so he still cancelled.

Try O2. Their tarriff are a bit better than Voda and they dont brand the S700 like Voda do.

i ordered the s700 through voda cost me £160 on a 18 month contract and the phone is branded...
i just wish this branding thing would just stop.. it just ruins the phone. i will get it unlocked and flashed when it becomes available.

Well, i've just cancelled my contract with O2, just going to be using an O2 PAYG Sim in my phone until O2 drop their prices on the S700i. Hopefully it'll work to my advantage, as theres probably something better due for release after Christmas anyway

I agree mate! Rest assured that the price will be lowered too by then.
