Do I have to buy anything else apart from the desk stand in order to upgrade my firmware for K700

No. Althought you will need the drivers from the SE website.

I bought the DSS-25 and the USB cable is already attached to it and folds away quite nicely underneath the stand.

However depending on whether your phone is branded or not you may not be able to use the update service as there seem to be some problems with it.
