Is it wrong of me to want all my communications gear to have telescoping metal antennas coming out of the top? I know that's not very chic these days, but my heart does a little flutter when I see stuff like this NEC N940 phone Sadly, it's not for improving phone reception, but instead for giving the little phone a better shot at picking up a TV signal. The clamshell below, the N840, has Bluetooth, a two-megapixel camera, and lots of other really decent features too bad both phones are to be only released in China.

NEC has launched the advertising campaign in China promoting its new clamshell GSM 900/1800/1900 MHz camera phone N840 equipped with a 2-Mpx camera (compared to the N830 with 1-Mpx matrix) and supporting MPEG4.
NEC N840 features a 2-Mpx 1600x1200 CMOS-sensor that can record and play video clips in MPEG4. The model carries two screens: the external 96x96x65K with STN matrix and the internal 2” 240x320x262K (QVGA) with TFT matrix.
The N840 measures 100x48x25 mm and weighs 125 g. There is the support of Bluetooth, GPRS, WAP2.0, JAVA MIDP2.0, MP3 playback, 64-tones polyphony and the slot for MiniSD cards.
