Just read at 3g.co.uk and somewhere else that it was going to be launched on the 10th November. It says on theinquirer.net that:

AS VODAFONE ANNOUNCES its intention to launch 3G (W-CDMA) handsets on November 10th, existing 3G network operator, Hutchison 3, has responded by adding six new handsets to its range. So Three [3] will have 12 models, pushing Vodafone into second place with its expected 10 handsets.

The new LG handsets from 3 look good but I'm sticking with the Sony Ericsson V800. At the moment I don't think anything can beat that. Has anyone got any more videos or pictures of the handset? Just can't wait to get the phone!

Any idea on tariffs or prices of the phones? Heard their tariffs were going to beat 3's! Also, loads of my mates and family are on 3, do you think network to network video calling will be available?

Any idea?

It should be. What good are 3G services when they're not cross-network?

Just spoke to Vodafone and they also confirmed at 10th November date but have no idea about tariffs or anything at the moment. They'll know about that later in the week. They also said that the Sharp 902 is most likely going to be released in December, with other phones planned for next week, and that their price plans should be competitive with 3's (perhaps slightly more expensive or something).

Any other pics or vids anyone wants to put up?

I sure hope the V800 is released soon - I really can't wait to get my hands on one.

However, I am worried, partly because anything I want always seems to take forever to come out (e.g. Z1010), and also because on the Voda UK website, the only 3G phones it has as "coming soon" are Motorola E1000 and Motorola V980 http://www.vodafone-emailme.co.uk/vfemailme/coming_soon.jsp

Anyway, my fingers are crossed!

I wonder if you will keep your credit unlike on 3 where it only lasts 30 days then deletes itself also i wonder if the phone prices will rival 3s - on amazon you can get a 3 phone for £29.99 This message was posted from a WAP device

I don't think Vodafone are gonna do pay as you go for 3G as yet. It'll probably stay on pay monthly for a while, and as for the coming soon section of vodafone's site, there's bound to be more than just those two out next week. The launch wouldn't be enough with just those two phones as they don't seem to be that popular anyway...I don't think...

Vodafone did say that the tariffs would be competitive so we'll just have to wait and see...

It will be very interesting to see how Vodafone's 3G network compares to 3's. It will also be interesting to find out if they are going to allow full internet access.

@Sammy_boy

It can't be too long now, not if Vodafone are set to release their 3G service on the 10th.
