> t68i keypad problem

can any assist me?
the 9, 6 and c buttons have stopped working on my t68i and I think the problem is the contacts under the keypad.
Is it possible to replace this part or should I just send it off to SE?

Maybe its just a bit dust, u should let it clean in a service or ask for a replacement if it is.

Sorry for butting in here but...
Certain buttons don't work. That indicates, to me, that the phone has been used for a while. That again indicates, yo me, that the warranty will have run out (Being a T68i in question it most likely has anyway). You can't just ask for a replacement because of dust.

I agree with Bobafett that you ought to take it to a SP to have it cleaned out but it's more likely that the buttons don't work because of grease from your fingers or simply "wear and teare".

i don't know realy .... coz it's one of the parts who are attached to the phone's scale ( the board with all of the processor & chips.. )
any way go to the SC ....

@tranquil i ment replacement to pay for, sorry for the wrong word. Indeed, at hard usage the small sticks on the backside of the keypad could be "disappeared", donnow the correct word, so the buttons has no connection to the apart below it.

I just have a replacement for my T200 keyboard that was suffering of the same problem (after a couple of cofee splits on it), they cleaned all the contacs and replaced the keypad part, now is working ok.

As i remember those sticks are made of rubber instead of plastic, but i didnt see many posts about such problems, so fortunately its not a general faulty. Many of us use it since years, me incl, and mine both t68 work fine yet.

They're made of rubber to avoid dust and liquids (small quantities) to get inside the phone, they've proved to be pretty long lasting, but sometimes accidents happens (like coffee splits on phone), but the replacemnt solved all probs.
