Hi all. My first post here .

I'm considering buying Wayfinder for use in the car. Problem is I don't want to lose the Bluetooth GPS connection if I'm on a call with my headset.

Is anyone aware of a wired GPS receiver for the P910i? Ideally one that will work with a car cradle/charger.

Thanks,
Dave

The P910 can manage multiple BT connections at the same time - I have tested this with the Emtac GPS and the HBH 35 both running BT. Also note that if you use the supplied se stereo headset this allows you to listen to Wayfinder instructions and take calls.

Thanks for the information. Interesting comment about the BT GPS receiver and headset. Do you know if the P910i is capable of handling a number of any BT devices or do you need specific ones like the 2 you tried? I had assumed the P910i could only handle a single BT device at a time like previous Pxxx models.

I'm only looking for a wired GPS receiver so I can use my BT headset, but may not need to now. The wired headset isnt something I want to use in the car. It's too much trouble and I already connect the P910i to the car head unit for music.

@Dave G

The P910i is designed to support multiple BT connections, one of the few Smartphones that can do this. This feature is described in the P910 White Paper from SE.
