> Max number of sms stored in K700!
Bookmark topic
So why is my K700i complaining that I have no more room
for sms's when I have around 100-110?
Isn't K700 supposed to have dynamic memory? Also I have
+20MB free on the phone so I should be able to store thousands
instead of 100
Is this possible to fix somehow? Is it possible for SE to fix in a future
FW upgrade? Or is this a hardware limitation?

The limit is 100-ish messages, which is shared with inbox, sent items and drafts. Seems pretty daft I know but there you go.
As for a fix? This is indeed fixable with a firmware update should SE want to do it as this is a file system restriction and not a hardware restriction.
Something tells me this won't happen any time soon! (please prove me wrong SE!)

@samwel - What firmware do you have with your K700i now mate, stock or the R2L... or R2AA...

Upgrade if you still have the stock one. Also, do you really need to 'keep' those hundreds of sms in your inbox? Can't you sort them out and leave only important ones? Just asking. Glad to have you at Esato mate.

@JN
Thanks!
I have the current one, R2L001 for the unbranded ones.
And I also have the DSS-25 now for easy upgrading
This is not only me complainíng for the sake of it.
It's quite easy to reach 100 sms's in the inbox & sent combined so you need to do alot of deleting all the time.
SE has more than once proven themselves that their phones are
way better than the rest usability wise. No stupid limits to MMS's and easy sharing of files are two things for example. So this limit is actually a STUPID limit which should not be there. This does not follow the usual SE standard when it comes to features and usability.
Is there ANY way of storing sms's any place other than the SIM? My SIM can store about 25 sms's so when I reach more than 25 "important" sms's I start to have a problem.
SE PLEASE fix this!!! What's the point of having a huge memory when
u don't get to use it..

Why not save sms's dynamically like pictures, sounds and animations? Be able to do folders for different sms's and such. Also while at it, make me be able to choose my own sms/mms sound/signal

@samwel - You're welcome dude

! My apologies here as I did not encounter that problem when I still had my K700i back then

! Also, and again, I don't keep too much of my SMS in my inbox, unless I'll be using it as a hard evidence in court !
