> T610 soon to be discontinued
Bookmark topic
Yesterday in a news summary in a swedish financial morning paper, Dagens Industri (http://www.di.se) there was a short statement: "According to Sony Ericsson T610 is to be discontinued and soon to be replaced by other models".
There was however no full article, just that summary and no link to the original article.
I guess SE is waiting to announce new models just because not to disturb the sales of the very succesful K700 and S700 before christmas.

Hmm, I've been searching but nowhere I can find a discussion about yesterdays (2004-11-01) article in DI...
I'll be happy if you could provide me with a link.

Is that true?
Store up on your original replacement covers fast. I always want mine to look as good as the day I got it.

I am afraid it won´t be a collectors item for quite some time yet, not with the enormous amounts sold. Wouldn´t sweat over parts either, still no problem getting T10 fascias OEM new
Well maybe SE will have shorter shelf life than /// before a model is phased out entirely.

Eh...
Just a wee bit of info; Manufacorers of tecnical devices are obliged to cover a certain after market of spare parts for a certain amount of time. Its not that much of a hurry.

And you can have other market to get your supplies from, as T610/616 is just being introduced in some Latin American markets, so you have plenty of time.

And, besides of the message that they will discontinue. Maybe thay will only discontinue the developping of the firmware/platform.
Maybe the production will stay.
