Overnight, my k700 developed two problems:

1. The phone vibrates, as if receiving a text message (however there is actually no text message). The keypad is then unlocked by itself. Immediately after vibrating, the screen displays the "Searching" text, and then reconnects to the network. This is happening about once every 10-15 minutes (although it isn't necessarily regular).

2. The phone spontaneously reboots every so often. When this happens, the phone freezes, then the screen goes black, then flashes white. This happens about 3 times in rapid succession, and then the phone returns to normal.

The menu navigation has also slowed down slightly, especially when loading higher-memory consuming items, such as a slide show of a large number of pictures.

Does anyone have any ideas? I'm on an o2 online (UK) contract, and I'm not sure how to go about getting the phone repaired...can I take it to a carphone warehouse?

Cheers

Had problem 2 happen to me as well. Was sending a picture message when the screen suddenly blacked out and started flashing as if it was resetting. Happened twice a few weeks back but has never occured since then. So maybe there really is a bug but it only comes out when very specific conditions are met. I have the latest firmware uploaded (r2L) and yes, my phone was on full charge when the incident happened.

@Mushin

Have you updated your K700's firmware? If so then this could be the problem as there is apparently a fault with the update service. Take a look at CyberVisitor's post in this thread for more details.
