@greggy: Not sure exactly how to tell which sites r 2.0, but they can display full clur pixes well. Also, while it is no rule, if a phone is advanced enuf 2 have video capabilities, chances are dat its browser is WAP 2.0 or xhtml

agree with aya... sites are not like that... all wap1.2.1 sites can be viewed like wap 2.0. if it supports wap2.0 ... than wp2.0 sites cannot be viewed in wap1.2.1.... wap 2.0 is xhtml/html... while wap1.2.1 phones can only go to wml/wap sites....

The simplest way is to check the site in The Opera web browser from your PC. This browser can show both WAP1.x.x sites using WML and WAP 2 sites using XHTML MP.
Then check the source code and simply check if the header says something about WML or XHTML...
Or an even simpler solution, check the site in IE6. If you can load it; it is WAP2.

wap2.0 sites can be prgrammed in xhtml which IS html & can be viewed via web or wap
Its gets confusining as you can write a wap site in wap1.0 (wml) and link to colour images.
wap2.0 specifies things that WML cannot do, link access keys & CSS

wap2.0 is a specification met by certain browsers. xhtml is a subset of html language
