I just bought Handy Day 2005, do you know if there is any way to scroll through the days to see you appointmements. In the old one you were able to do this by simply moving the jog dial

I was just about to ask the same thing!! It would be so useful, you would think it would work if you Jog in on the littl week calendar>

No, at the moment you can not scroll through the days. This is something that was pointed out by all the beta testers during testing. They promissed it will be part of the new version due to be released soon.

other pros, after I used for several days:
- the tasks - only shows the number of overall tasks, not the list
- when you open the flip, there is no pop to open the application
- no preferences?!?
- no background picture option
- no "hot-key"?! You must use the Keymapper (which does not automatically load) ?!?

on the flip side, ther are some cons too:
- the weather update
- the interntional clocks
- looks much cooler
- how about a currency updater? this would really be a killer

just a note before I begin:
pro is positive and con is negative, so what you typed has to be reversed. Why would the good looks be a negative point?

I also noticed that HD2005 does not start that fast when opening the flip. I get redirected to the Applications list.

Other cons:
-No upcoming appointments view, appointments which are not on that day. HD4.1 had this, so I guess they removed it.
-Eats memory, it takes up about 3x the resources as the old version, whereas the positive things do not justify this effect.

It's a tricky one.

I'd like HD 2004 but with the Weather & international clock from HD 2005.

I'm sticking with 2005 for now, but not ruling out going back...

To be honest I think 2005 is a huge step backwards for the product - it used to be a farily simple choice - if you like fancy skins then you went for tracker whereas if you wanted a tidy and functional app HD2004 was the way to go.
Now HD2005 seems to have turned into a rather bloated app which has lost its focus and has less useful features than its predecessor. And the whole weather thing to me is just a rather strange gimmick, although the conept of plugins is good.

Personally I'm not into skins in the slightest - I rather like the UIQ UI thanks, and in recent weeks have actually been using Powerday in preference to anything else.

From a long time Handy Day fan, I am bitterly disappointed in 2005. Either Handy Day is a PIM or it is not & 2005 most definitely is not.
I need my PIM to manage appointments within itself, not to shell out to the standard calendar thence leaving you suspended away from your PIM.
Epocware need to look at Agendus on the Px00 or Pocket Informant on the Pocket PC platform. Personally I would love to see a Pocket Informant port but guess that is pushing my luck.
I'm sure skins sell programs, but I need functionality.
For now, I will be using Agendus.

Why dont you try Aquacalendar? It is a great PIM application IMHO. I have been using it for ages . More information about Aquacalendar : HERE.
