And I am pleased to report that the phone is running noticably quicker without VodaShite.
the menus are clearer, icons are sweet and even the sync process appears to be quicker as I type.
The layout is slightly diferent to the Voda menu, having all the multimedia down the right side. So the MP3 player etc and the radio are all bunched up together instead of Voda putting them all over the place.
And it has got rid of that bloody annoying red 'everything' that Voda seem we have to be enforced to use.
the flashing process couldn't be simpler, however takes a bit longer than the 5 minutes quoted, more like 40.

piece of piss (pardon the french)
paid Sunday for the software, the details for the credit arrived monday morning and the cable today.
Was just a matter of plugging in and flashing.
Like I said the only thing that was not true was the 'flashing and debranding takes 5 minutes' Nah... took an entire episode of Battlestar Galactica. 40 minutes.
Just checked the camera and the dodgy white pixel has gone.
All in all, I now have the phone I wanted, not the one that voda decided to screw up with their stupid attempt to copy on the skills and talents of SE.

nothing to prepare really. I even forgot to take the sim card out, ooops.
Just start to flash and go and make a coffee.
According to the software, we will also be entitled to upgrade the firmware for free when it is released.

I depranded mine on Saturday, and worth the £9.
Although not sure if it was worth the £35 for cables (T28 and USB->Serial Cable).
Also took me ages to get the wap,mms and grps stuff reconfigured.
Otherwise easy as pie.
Although would be nice if they had some guide as to what the hell the different firmware versions were for. Confused the heck out of me.

if you go to the SE site they will txt you your mms grps and wap settings.
i've read through some k700 instructions and i agree, it sounds complicated.
So what files did you select then? just so i know for when i get around to doing mine at the weekend.
many thanks.
