I have a new Z600 and have recently bought a cheap bluetooth headset (AMB-02, according to the label). The headset pairs up with my phone without problem and works ok, but when left for more than approx. 30 minutes, it seems to lose its connection to the phone.

The phone still has the little headset icon on the status bar, but when a call comes into the phone, it does not ring through on the headset and nothing I can do will transfer it across. If I press the "answer" button on the headset, it hangs up the call (!!!) and if I then call the mobile again, the headset works fine.

Am I missing something, or is this just stupid? If it is the headset, would someone please be good enough to recommend another which works well with the Z600?

Thanks!

I have a z600 and sometimes use my SE HBH-35 bluetooth headset with it. It works find enough except for bad sound quality and that the other people im taking to always complain about severe echos. Annoying. I wonder whether the low output of the bluetooth signal has anything to do with it? This message was posted from a Z600

when you have to replace cheap items often they turn out expensive in the long run.

Anyway, to topic starter, have you tried with a different model headset?

I too have a 'cheap' headset and a Z600 but I've never experienced any problems like the ones you mention

i do have those problem before with my HBH-30. but after firmware upgrade, the problem of pairing and hanged gone.

echo sound might not be the headset or handset problem. sometimes network problem too.

Yes, I have now bought a Jabra BT250 (which is a far better headset), but...

I still can't hang up an unanswered call from the headset. i.e. If I make a call (either via voice or manually dial) and noone answers, pressing the headset button does not cancel the call.
If the phone isn't connected to the headset (i.e. the headset icon showing on the phone) I can't receive calls in the headset - thinking about it, this is probably by design and I am being picky!

What sort of battery life do you get from your phone when using the headset?
