James Bond 21, scheduled for release 18th november 2005, was postponed to November 2006 after negotiations with Pierce Brosnan ceased, and a director had not been found. There was no word from the Brocoli family whether he had been sacked, until a few weeks back. Although angry at the time, pierce brosnan has appeared in multiple interviews, and says bond is gone, and he has had a great 10 years and has no regrets. Read all the stories at the best unofficial Bond website:

Quote: Pierce Brosnan must be getting tired of the same questions about James Bond being asked by the pack of journalists following his public appearences.

Last night at the UK premiere of his latest movie, "After The Sunset", in Leicester Square, he fired back at reporters asking him who he would prefer to take over as 007.

"I woudn't like anybody, I'd like it to stop there and never do another one."

"You know they contracted me for four, it was a great time, a great ten years. But there will be someone else, of that I'm absolutely sure and there must be someone else because it's a loved franchise, a loved character."

It was a long time coming. It was only a matter of when.

Brosnan only said he would do one or two more, and that was years ago.

No, he wanted to do more, but negotiations ceased. noone contacted him, and quite naturally he got veryp pissed off.

i dont think they will get hugh jackman - he aint from the uk.

sean connery - scottish
roger moore - scottish
tim dalton - welsh or english
pierce - irish

george lazenby - australian, but a total flop!

i think it may be james purefoy, colin farrel, etc. etc.

Robbie Williams? Theres talk, but i think he would be crap.

My choice would be...Dale Winton! (coo can you imagine that?)

Seriously, Pierce Brosnan was a great 007, and theres no one i can think of to replace him! Theres no one with that suave coolness, that 007 x factor.

Too fresh-faced, wrong build and character. Same with Jude LAw, even thought they both good actors, their not in the james bond mould.

Someone slightly older, in their mid forties perhaps.
