Hey guys,
I'm in the New Orleans area, and my contract with SprintPCS is about to expire. I want to switch to a carrier that will allow me to have a SE 900 or 910 phone -- but I cannot seem to find one. I looked at Verizon, AT&T, etc, and none of them list these phones.
What carrier are you guys here in the US using that allows the 900 series?
Thanks for any help.
Jase.

It is possible to use a P series phone on any GSM network. Whether they specifically offer tech support or sales of the phone is another matter. I am sure people here can get you up and running on any carrier. People seem to be using P series phones with all three major U.S. GSM carriers (Cingular, AT&T and T-Mobile) on Esato.

Thank you so much. I didn't know that I could use the 900 series on any GSM carrier -- heck, I don't even know what GSM is (I'll go Google it).
Anyway, thanks for the info. I'll check out those carriers and see what plans they offer.
In your opinion, is one carrier far better than the others? What about if I want to use the phone's bluetooth to connect my Apple Powerbook to the internet? Do the carriers you listed allow this (I can currently connect my Powerbook to the internet with Sprint).
Anyway, thanks for any help (and thanks for the help you've already given).

Just have to get one that's unlocked(unbranded) and put in sim card.

all of the GSM companies have data plans. It shouldn't be a problem to use your phone's internet connection or to use your phone as a modem with your laptop. I suggest you find the forum about Sony Ericsson and Apple for more info about your computer.
As far as coverage, you are gonna have to talk to people in your area on those three networks. My experience won't really matter since I live nowhere near you.

Baseballfanz -- what is a "sim card"? Is it expensive?
Also, Where can I buy a 910 phone -- or is it even out yet?
Thanks.

SIM card is the small chip that GSM carriers give you that stores your account info. You can also store a limited number of phone numbers on a SIM.
You can put any SIM into any unlocked phone.
