does anybody on this board actually have the bluetooth media viewer and can give me their experiences using it?
is it quick in transferring pictures?
can it be used for a powerpoint presentation?

I can recall a couple of people posting here saying that it wasn't all that good and its not just the little piece you see in the SE web site etc which plugs into the back of your TV or whatever. It also requires a power supply
Here is the product page and it only does still pictures and MP3 but its not streaming, they must be copied to the device first. Its doesn't play video at all.
I guess you could use it for a presentation as long as each slide is a jpg image

rep came to visit. Very easy to transfer pics, and you can theorietically use the phone as the control for PowerPoint presentations, by saving slides as jpegs, as masseur pointed out. That was actually one of the uses he highlighted.
As far as I saw, no additional power supply is required. It effectively acts as a bluetooth receiver and decoder for any scart-equipped device.

Yes, you do. The Power supply/charger, CST-13, must be connected at all times when you are using the Media Viewer.

Were you able to compare the before and after image? I guess also if it was displayed on a TV thats not going to be the best anyway
btw, the SE shop still sells these for 99.99 pounds and even on ebay they are 56 pounds which I think is still way overpriced for such an accessory

What I wondered was whether there would be a loss of quality after transferring to the media viewer but, given that I had only previously seen the pics on the phone screens, it is difficult to tell - quality seemed good to me.
I do agree that the price does seem very high, and gadget freak though I am, I can't see myself spending £60 or thereabouts on this. I would think £30-£40 would be a more reasonable price point.
