i recently had to choose a new mobile when my contract was renewed. i had to choose between the imate pocket pc made by qtec and the p910i, which were the same price. i chose the p910i. i love the p910i, but i dont know whether or not i made a mistake. anyone used the imate pocket pc? what major differences are there? do qtec make reliable products? i never really heard of the company.

Of course you made a right decision. German magazine Connection recently has a super comprasion between Sony Ericsson P910i and the best up-to-date pocket pc/phone I-mate PDA2K. P910i won.

I am also interested in this comparison. Can you post a pointer to this review?

The i-mate JAM not PDA2k is *better* than a P910:

*cheaper, 25% smaller, lighter (?)
*higher resolution screen
*1.3Mp camera
*~2x faster processor (416Mhz)
*230% cheaper memory cards
...

Ok no keyboard - but I use handwriting on my P910.

Come on now, how can this even be relevant to any comparison? Are we back to the megahertz wars? Seriously, this is, before anything else, simply a mobile phone! And it's in that area that the p900/910 really shines. As an occasional PDA/hybrid phone-PDA, it's a pretty impressive package. What the P910 needs is an update that should include EDGE/3G, and maybe WiFi.

But as for now, I'm a happy P900 user, and I know it's not in the numbers or features that you list. It's all in the device's usability and how well its functions are accessible. I don't see anything on the market today that even comes close.

since this is P9 vs pocket pc....

are the Xcel and Word documents reliabily transferred back-and-forth between the PC and the P910?

how is this so? can anyone confirm and give any solutions?

planning to buy p910 for these apps (office) especially Excel files.
