I have a faulty T630 ( keeps losing the network) and need to take it in to get it repaired, but I know they will re set the phone, so I have tried exporting my phonebook via Bluetooth to my laptop ( Sony TR!MP) exports ok, arrives on lap top as a 325kb VCF file, but when I drag it into outlook ( or "open") it, all I get is the first contect from my pt630's phone book showing.

What am I doing worng? how do I get all my contacts from my t630 onto my lap top ( and then back again when the phone comes back?

TIA

You could allways store your contacts in the SIM-card instead

you could try syncing it with either MS outlook or the windows address book with the sync software provided on the SE CD.

I'm assuming that 325kb is too big for a sim card? - Unfortuneately I don't have a connection lead to connect the T630 to my pc...

kust checked 510 entries on phone's address book, and only space for 199 on SIM card...

you should be able to do the sync via BT. your last resort may be to ask the shop to send all your contacts to the new phone they will be providing you via BT or IR. or maybe they could do a backup for you and restore it after the repair.

I can export the whole phone book via BT, but.... this huge VCF file ( which I've tried on 2 pc's) seems to only open up the first alphabetical contact.
