> k700i recieving texts days and weeks later
Bookmark topic
i dunno if anyone knows why my k700 isnt recieving texts anymore. Well it kinda recieves texts but anything from a day to a week late! and it'll recieve all the txts people have sent me during that time all in one go. Its not my service provider because i've tried two different sims. its on the oldest firmware version but this problem never seemed to happen before so it cant be the firmware aint working all of a sudden. I can send txts fine, n recieve calls and call people fine...and it does recieve txts sooner or later...but usually days n days late. I dunno what the problem is. Anyone have any ideas?

I believe that the problem IS most likely with the Network. Are u on o2 by any chance, they have a long history of SMS problems.
When u tested it with a different SIM was it a different Network?

Just a hitted my mind: did u download any games or apps in the last time? Faulty ones could cause strange things like this.

umm right now the problems are with an o2 sim but the problems started with my orange sim hence i changed...so its definitely not the network. i havent even downloaded any games or anything so its not that. i've dropped the phone on a concrete floor.....problems coulda started after that i think....whoopsie. i dunno if its under warentee, thing is i got the phone from dubai and threw away the box n stuff. i think i still have the reciept and some manual n maybe some warentee paper type things or something. i dunno. but even if its not under warentee do u think an SE service center will fix it even if they charge me?
n does anyone know of an SE service center in Birmingham, UK? or Leicester. i heard carphone warehouse in b'ham is one...but not sure? i cant imagine it needing a firmware upgrade.....though it requires one cos its on the oldest firmware, the oldest firmware was working fine up until recently so who knows what the problem is. its gonna make me cry though :S

Try this: when you know that someone has sent you an sms. Reboot your phone... I sometimes has the same problem when sending/recieving sms from my operator telenor to netcom.

Looks like that the fone was DAMAGED during the DROP ! I hope it did not affect the software/hardware inside . . . My guess was with the local network too at first . . .
